Aamir Khan's Return To Playing Gulshan Kumar Does Not Change The Biopic's Title To Gulshan- EXCLUSIVE
Not Gulshan! but Mogul was the title of the Gulshan Kumar biopic, and it remain so
It's Mogul and Mogul only, asserts Bhushan Kumar, the T-Series head honcho who has set up the stage to make a biopic on his (late) father Gulshan Kumar, with Subhash Kapoor at the helm.
A section of the media had reported that now with the return of Aamir Khan, the biopic is likely to be called Gulshan and that T-Series is contemplating on the change. We got in touch with Bhushan Kumar, who promptly asserted that this is nothing but a preposterous rumour. "It's Mogul. We are not changing the title," he told us.
This film on the life of the music baron Gulshan Kumar, was earlier supposed to be done by Akshay Kumar, but the actor quit the project. Aamir signed it much later, but he too quit after Subhash Kapoor got embroiled in the MeToo scandal.
Aamir recently had a change of heart and after giving his explanation to why he was again doing the film, made it also clear that he would even be co-producing it as per the original plan.
Bhushan Kumar has not yet announced when Mogul will go on floors. We expect an official statement regarding that, soon. It'a very challenging role for AK and we know AK loves to experiment and rise to the occasion.
