After Saand Ki Aankh, Taapsee Pannu has come with, yet another hard-hitting subject that has already intrigued us with the mere trailer of Thappad which is high on the content quality. After working with filmmaker Anubhav Sinha in the film Mulk, Taapsee has once again joined hands with Sinha for his upcoming flick Thappad and just like other films, she does mark a powerful presence in this trailer. As Thappad is going to hit the big screens tomorrow, here’s how Taapsee Pannu film will earn on the first day. Our trade analysts predict the film to get a nice decent start
SpotboyE.com got in touch with trade analyst Girish Johar, to know the fate of Thappad at the box-office. While speaking to us, he said, “In terms of promo and marketing, Thappad looks intriguing which also has a relevant message attached to it but not big as a social message like what Chhapaak did, this film is more about individualistic right and I’m pretty much excited about the film as filmmaker Anubhav Sinha is one of my best directors. He has the pulse of the audience by making relevant films and Taapsee has a very good role in the film. I’m expecting a good start to the film, since it is a premium upmarket niche kind of a film, so it is dependent on every word of mouth and I’m hoping good reviews to add-in more value to the film.”
Further talking about the earnings on day 1, he predicted, “I would peg it around Rs.2-3 crores, it should start it in that range and if the word of mouth is excellent, it can only increase it. It is an open weekend as new releases haven’t lived up to the expectations, so hoping the film will open in that range. There’s a good chance that it will strike good at the weekends.”
The trailer is all about how one slap is not okay and woman should not be okay and a man shouldn't get away with it so easily. We see how 'one slap' changes her love towards her husband and makes her realise how she was neglecting all the unfair things that were done by her husband in her martial phase.
