Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan VS Bhoot 1st Monday Box-Office Collection: Ayushmann Khurrana - Vicky Kaushal Suffer Major Dip

The Day 4 box-office collections of Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan and Bhoot are here! While Ayushmann Khurrana starrer enjoyed a good run during the weekend, the film saw a major drop in collections on Monday. Vicky Kaushal starrer also further saw a drop in Monday’s collection

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan VS Bhoot 1st Monday Box-Office Collection: Ayushmann Khurrana - Vicky Kaushal Suffer Major Dip
Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan and Vicky Kaushal’s Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship saw a clash at the box-office and both the films released on Friday. Ayushmann Khurrana’s film centred around a gay couple and their love story, Vicky Kaushal’s was a horror flick. Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan opened on a better note and raced ahead of Bhoot, however, both the films saw a drop in collections on Day 4. While Ayushmann Khurrana starrer collected a total of Rs 36.53 crore in four days, Bhoot Part One The Haunted Ship made a net collection of Rs. 18.68 crore.

Sharing the numbers of Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitendra starrer Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan declines on Day 4... Substantial drop beyond metros... Needs to maintain on remaining weekdays to stay afloat...” Further listing down collections of each day, he wrote, “Fri 9.55 cr, Sat 11.08 cr, Sun 12.03 cr, Mon 3.87 cr. Total: ₹ 36.53 cr. #India biz. #SMZS.” According to Boxofficeindia, the film did not get support at metros such as Mumbai, Pune and Kolkata.

Further sharing the box office collection numbers of Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship, Taran Adarsh wrote, “#Bhoot dips on Day 4... Trending wasn’t strong enough over the weekend and the drop on Day 4 indicates rough journey on remaining weekdays, unless metros stabilise/stay steady... Fri 5.10 cr, Sat 5.52 cr, Sun 5.74 cr, Mon 2.32 cr. Total: ₹ 18.68 cr. #India biz.”


Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan also stars Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao in pivotal roles. The film has been directed by Hitesh Kewalya. Meanwhile, Bhoot Part One The Haunted Ship is directed by Bhanu Pratap Singh and also features Ashutosh Rana and Bhumi Pednekar, apart from Vicky Kaushal.
