Mardaani 2 Box-Office Collection Day 3: It’s Rani Mukerji Vs Herself; Becomes Actress' Highest Weekend Opener

Despite facing severe competition from Jumanji: The Next Level at the box-office, Rani Mukerji starrer Mardaani 2 is doing well as it collected Rs 7.80 cr on Day 3. The total collection of the film stands at Rs 18.15 Crore.

Rani Mukerji is being applauded for her stellar performance in Mardaani 2. The actress, who impresses us every time she makes an appearance, has nailed it with her acting and sheer hard work in the 2nd instalment of 2014’s release- Mardaani. In the film, the actress has pulled off the character of a lady cop Shivani Shivaji Roy who is constantly tracing a serial rapist and killer to be put behind the bars. Rani Mukerji starrer hit the screens on December 13, 2019, and clashed with Jumanji: The Next level at the box-office. This Hollywood flick stars wrestler and a famous actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. Despite facing a severe competition at the box-office, the film is doing well as it has collected Rs 7.80 cr on day 3 taking the total collection to Rs 18.15 Crore.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the numbers and wrote, “#Mardaani2 has a power-packed weekend... Admirable growth on Day 2 and 3 demonstrates the power of solid content... SpotboyE rated Mardaani 2 with 3 stars and wrote a part of the review read, “The first part of Mardaani franchise, directed by Pradeep Sarkar, got us face to face with a feisty cop, DCP Shivani Roy, ready to pin the criminal down, no matter what the circumstance is. Mardaani 2 brings back the same essence with double power. Shivani Roy, played by the talent powerhouse, Rani Mukerji, is now SP Shivani Roy and the issue she is dealing with in the sequel is grave beyond words. Rape- a DISEASE that is rotting our society with each passing day. The very first scene of the film will make you clench your fist in anger. Being a girl, I felt it way beyond my control and I could see the men seated beside me shaking their head in disgust too. Thank god for that!”


There is no stopping for Mardaani 2. We hope the movie shows a power punch at the Box-Office in the coming weeks too and holds strong despite many films releasing in coming weeks.
