Love Aaj Kal Box-Office Collections Day 4: Sara Ali Khan And Kartik Aaryan Starrer Crashes On Monday; Struggles To Touch 2Cr
Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan starrer Love Aaj Kal has witnessed a huge drop of 80% in its collections on Day 4 at BO. The Imtiaz Ali’s film struggled to earn even Rs 2Cr on its 4th day.
Seems like, even Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan couldn’t pass survive Monday test. The film which hit the theaters on the occasion of Valentine’s Day i.e. February 14, opened on double-digit. The film, which received mixed reviews, garnered Rs 12 on Day 1 followed by a 40% drop in Day 2 collections. Love Aaj Kal collected Rs 8.01 cr and 8.10 cr on Day 2 and Day 3 respectively. Now, the film saw a huge drop on its Day 4 collections. The film has crashed badly on Monday with just Rs 1.75-2 Cr earnings on Day 4.
According to a report in Box-Office India report states, “Love Aaj Kal had an epic crash on Monday as collections look set to be in the 1.75-2 crore nett range. They are a huge 80% down from day one which got a boots from Valentine’s Day.”
Sharing the number of film's Day 2 collection, Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh had tweeted, "#LoveAajKal is rejected... Dips on Day 2, falls flat on Day 3... Advantage #ValentinesDay [Day 1], else *3-day total* would be lower... Tough road ahead [weekdays]... Fri 12.40 cr, Sat 8.01 cr, Sun 8.10 cr. SpotboyE Editor Vickey Lalwani rated the film with 2.5 stars and wrote in his review, “A very engaging first half and a cup of hot tea in the interval drove me back inside with a lot of hope. But wait! Had I entered another film starring Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan? No, I knew I hadn't when I soon saw Randeep Hooda too on screen. However, one thing was certain. Imtiaz Ali was spiraling his labour of love downward and mind you, I hadn't finished half my chai till then. Kartik Aaryan has a difficult role which does not require him to go over the top at any stage, but I think he underplayed it a bit too much.
