Kangana Ranaut in an exclusive chat with SpotboyE opened up about almost not doing Panga, having thoughts of having a child before marriage but then discarding it, Deepika Padukone's JNU visit, CAA NRC and a lot more. Watch the video below.
In October 2018 during a chat with Kangana, the actress spoke about taking charge as a director and re-shooting Manikarnika after the film's director Krish abandoned it mid-way. I remember, Kangana back then was concerned not only about Manikarnika but she had just let go of a film titled Imli and just when she was about to start Panga, she was back on Manikarnika sets. At that time she wasn't sure if Panga will happen.
Come January 2020, Kangana is in front of the media eye, pleasantly sharing her experience on working with Ashwini Iyer Tiwari and her latest Panga. When we sat down to discuss the film, she set the tone of the interview even before I could ask the first question with "Main acche Pange lete hu hamesha, I don't go out and burn a bus just like that". Well, she did start off with a sixer but the controversial CAA NRC topic was kept for the later part and we began with Panga. She admits she has given "The least in this film" as Manikarnika demanded more focus and energies from the actor at that time.
The second schedule of Manikarnika was so exhausting as a director and an actor that at one point Kangana was "Ok if Panga goes". Watch the full video below!
Moving on to playing the role of a mother in Panga, has she ever felt the urge to have her own considering surrogacy is a boon nowadays? Ms. Ranaut reveals that the thought of having a child even before she gets married did cross her mind but jokes how as soon as her nephew, Prithvi, (Rangoli's son) arrived she changed her mind. On a serious note, Kangana confesses she would have to give up a lot to take on the role of a mother in real life and she is definitely not ready for that.
It is hard to not ask the outspoken diva about national issues and actors like Deepika Padukone who chose to stand with JNU students union. Calling them the 'Tukde-Tukde Gang' the actor made clear where her interest lies. Before signing off she also made it very clear that any kind of boycott called upon a film doesn't work if your film is good.
