Srijit Mukherji’s Film Uma Starring Jisshu Sengupta Completes Two Years
 Srijit Mukherji’s directorial Uma has completed two years today. The film features Jisshu Sengupta, Sara Sengupta, Anjan Dutt, Srabanti Chatterjee, Sayantika Banerjee, Anirban Bhattacharya and Rudranil Ghosh in the main role. The film was appreciated by movie buffs and was part of many film festivals.

The film revolves around a young girl named Uma who lives in Switzerland and is suffering from a terminal disease. She has a wish to see Durga Puja of Kolkata. Her father Himadri Sen takes her to Kolkata to fulfil her dream and plans to set up a fake Durga Puja. How her father and family manages to make his daughter's dreams come true.

Meanwhile, he has recently the first song from his upcoming web series Feluda Pherot. Next, he is busy with his film Kakababur Protyaborton post-production work. The film stars Prosenjit Chatterjee, Aryann Bhowmik in the lead role. The shooting of the film has been done in South Africa.

The film is based on Sunil Gangopadhyay’s novel ‘Jongoler Modhye Ek Hotel’. The story will revolve around Raja Roy Chowdhury aka Kakababu and his nephew Santu. Both have gone on a trip to Nairobi, Kenya and there they are hosted by a Bengali couple. After some days, Kakababu and his nephew Santu is invited from an Africa-based Indian businessman in their hotel which is located inside Maasai Mara forest. But before their arrival, some German tourists go missing from the hotel and what happens next is the film all about.
