Hobu Chandra Raja Gobu Chandra Mantri Release Gets Postponed
Hobu Chandra Raja Gobu Chandra Mantri film starring Saswata Chatterjee, Arpita Chatterjee, Kharaj Mukherjee release has been postponed. Actor Dev Adhikari shared the news on social media. The film release postponed owing to the outbreak of coronavirus. The film was supposed to be released on May 1.

“An important announcement from Bombagarh: The wait for Hobuchandra Raja Gobuchandra Mantri will be a bit longer. Till then Stay Home & Stay Safe. Updated Release Announcement,” tweeted Dev Adhikari.


Based on Dakhinaranjan Mitra Majumdar's stories, the film is also seen as a satire on modern society.


The film is based on Dakhinaranjan Mitra Majumdar's stories — Hobu Chandra Raja and Sarkar er Chhele. It is a story of a state where everyone is living happily until one day a new mantri is appointed and he tells the king that his state has a financial problem. On the other side, another story is also running which shows a teacher and his student who also come to the same state to earn a livelihood. But somehow the teacher is not happy the way the state is being run and he leaves. But while going he tells his student to call him if he needs his help. Meanwhile, a thief dies when a wall falls on him. The punishment was given to the man who had built the wall. But somehow, the main accused got replaced by the student. How Guruji will save his student?
