National-award winner director Srijit Mukherji is self-quarantined these days and has just dropped a major hint about his next film. The director, who has just returned from South Africa finishing the shooting of his film Kakababur Protyaborton., has shared a picture on social media.
“Day 4 of Quarantine. Finally completed my homage to a forgotten crusader of the Indian Independence Struggle. #ItiBina,” he wrote on Instagram.
Kakababur Protyaborton stars Prosenjit Chatterjee, Aryann Bhowmik in the lead role. The film is based on Sunil Gangopadhyay’s novel ‘Jongoler Modhye Ek Hotel’. The story will revolve around Raja Roy Chowdhury aka Kakababu and his nephew Santu. Both have gone on a trip to Nairobi, Kenya and there they are hosted by a Bengali couple. After some days, Kakababu and his nephew Santu is invited from an Africa-based Indian businessman in their hotel which is located inside Maasai Mara forest. But before their arrival, some German tourists go missing from the hotel and what happens next is the film all about.
Srijit Mukherji’s last release Dwitiyo Purush was highly appreciated by the fans. The film is now being streamed online. The film stars Raima Sen and Parambrata Chatterjee in the lead role.
