Asur Trailer Released: Jeet, Nusrat, Abir Starrer Promises A Cinematic Treat
Pavel’s directorial Asur trailer has released. The film starring Jeet, Nusrat Jahan, and Abir Chatterjee is a tribute to the maverick sculptor Ramkinkar Baij. The film has created a buzz from the stellar performances by the lead actors. Asur will be releasing on 3rd January 2020.

The trailer was released on Jeet’s birthday. “It was a long wait..but not anymore..as promised, here is the trailer of #Asur”, Abir Chatterjee tweeted.

Asur is a story of three friends played by Jeet, Abir, and Nusrat who used to be friends during their college days but the film will tell their story of a much later phase of their life when they are in their thirties. The film will also be a tribute to famous sculptor and painter Ramkinkar Baij. Jeet will be seen playing a sculptor and painter in the film.
This film will reunite Jeet and Abir after a long gap of five years, these two were seen together last time in the film The Royal Bengal Tiger. Nusrat Jahan is making a comeback after entering into politics and marriage.

The movie's plot has a strong reference to the 2015 Durga Puja when a stampede-like situation occurred at the Deshapirya Park Puja when a record crowd of over a few lakhs gathered around the location to just get a glimpse of the mammoth 88-feet Durga idol created by artist Mintu Pal. Such was the scramble to see the idol that the police had to block access to the Puja before finally declaring it completely closed for public viewing.

Jeet is essaying the role of Kigan, a passionate and independent artist who has created the tallest Durga leading to an unprecedented crowd and out-of-control situation. Bodhi, played by Abir Chatterjee, will be seen in negative role. Nusrat Jahan plays the role of Aditi, who seems to be the love interest of Jeet.
Asur, which is Pavel's third film after Babar Naam Gandhiji and Rosogolla, will release on January 3 next year.
